This check allows to define, whether develops the generator a current which is equivalent to rated power.
Preparation for check

1. Before test check up following elements:
– A condition of the storage battery established in the car;
– A tension of a belt of a drive of the generator. |
The prevention
The storage battery which is used for check of the current developed by the generator, should be partially discharged. At completely charged батаре check cannot be executed because of insufficient loading of the generator.

| 3. Disconnect a wire from the negative plug of the storage battery. | | 4. Disconnect a wire from generator plug "B". | | 5. Connect the ampermeter of a direct current with a limit of measurement 0–100 A consistently between plug "B" and the wire disconnected from the generator. Be convinced, that negative щуп the ampermeter have connected to the wire disconnected from the generator. |

| 1. Check up, that the voltmeter scale is well visible for definition of size of pressure. If the voltmeter shows pressure 0 In, means, the electric chain connecting plug "B" of the generator and the negative plug of the storage battery is not closed, the fusible insert or unreliable connection with "weight" has fused. | | 2. Start the engine and include headlights. | | 3. Include a headlight of headlights and the heater fan in a mode of the maximum giving of air. Quickly increase frequency of rotation of a cranked shaft of the engine to 2 500 mines-1 and read values on devices, thus the ampermeter will show a current developed by the generator. |
The prevention
After start of the engine the current of gymnastics of the storage battery very quickly decreases, therefore this check is necessary for carrying out very quickly.

| 1. Ampermeter indications should exceed limiting value. If value of a current less than limiting value, and a wire connecting an exit of the generator, as it should be, remove the generator from the car and check up it. Limiting value of a current:

The prevention Limiting value of a current is specified on the tablet attached to the case of the generator.
The current developed by the generator, depends on temperature and loading. Therefore for reception of limiting value of a current partially discharge the storage battery, preliminary having included headlights on the car with the idle engine.
Limiting value of a current developed by the generator cannot be received, if generator or air temperature too high.
| | 2. After end of test of limiting value of the current developed by the generator, translate the engine in a mode of idling and switch off ignition. | | 3.
