2.2.2. Compression check

If the engine works badly or with faults, check up system of ignition and fuel system.

If the reasons of bad work of the engine to find it was not possible, inspect a compression. Regular carrying out of this check will allow you to warn occurrence of malfunctions in advance also.

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Check up engine oil level. Be convinced, that the starter works normally, and the storage battery is completely charged.
2. Start the engine and warm up it to temperature 80–95°C.
3. Switch off the engine and remove from spark plugs tips of high-voltage wires.
4. Turn out spark plugs.
5. Turn a cranked shaft of the engine.
	6. Screw a tip компрессометра in a spark plug aperture.
7. Completely open throttle заслонку.
8. A starter turn a cranked shaft of the engine approximately on 4 turns and on a device scale define a compression. Compression: 1,47 мПа Is minimum admissible compression: 1,37 мПа
9. Repeat steps 6–8 on other cylinders.
10. If a compression low in all cylinders, through apertures for spark plugs fill in in cylinders on нескольку a thaw of engine oil and repeat steps 6–8. 1) If oil pouring lifts a compression, probably, piston rings are worn out. 2) If a compression remains at the same level, probably, valves have burnt through or the lining of a head of cylinders is damaged. 3) Screw spark plugs and connect to them high-voltage wires.
