15.19. The evaporator

1 – the air filter;
2 – a cover of the air filter;
3 – top картер the evaporator;
4 – an evaporator radiator;

1. Disconnect a wire from the negative plug of the storage battery.
2. Discharge air central air.
3. Disconnect a tube () and the soaking up filter from the evaporator.

The prevention

After separation of components of a central air of air immediately close connections by corresponding covers for an exception of hit of a moisture of air in system.

4. Disconnect a hose of a drain from the evaporator.
5. Turn out two screws and remove a cover of a condensing ring from the panel of devices.
6. Turn out three screws of fastening of a ware box.
7. Disconnect a socket from the thermostatic switch.
8. Turn out three screws of fastening of the evaporator.
9. Remove the evaporator.


1. Remove 7 clips of fastening top картера the evaporator.
2. Remove top картер the evaporator.

The prevention

Be careful not to damage electroconducting of the thermostatic switch.

3. Remove the thermostatic switch with the thermoresistor and its clip from the evaporator block.
4. Remove the evaporator.


1. Check up evaporator plates on absence of a contamination and damage. If plates are hammered, blow their compressed air.

The prevention

Do not use water for clearing of plates of the evaporator.

2. Check up joints at absence of cracks and scratches.


1. Establish the evaporator in bottom картер.
2. Establish the thermostatic switch with the thermoresistor to the evaporator.
3. Establish top картер.
4. Establish seven clips and screw two screws.


1. Installation is spent to sequences, return to removal.
2. If evaporator replacement was spent, add in the compressor of oil of 40 sm3.
3. Pump out, charge and check up air central air.

Check on the car

1. Check up quantity of a coolant during a cooling cycle.
2. Establish manometres on a highway.
3. Start the engine, leave to work on 5 mines on frequency of rotation of a cranked shaft of 2000 mines-1.
4. Check up the evaporator on presence of following defects:

– If the broad valve is hammered, the indication of a manometre of low pressure will decrease to 0kg/sm2;
– If the broad valve is hammered or there are leaks in the evaporator, repair or replace the evaporator.
